The O's swept the Astros out of town with a 5-1 win, carried by Rodrigo Lopez's eight strong innings (4 H, 1 ER, 7 K). It was our first interleague sweep since July 1999, when we swept the Expos.
Mora homered again, which brings his season total to 14.
I do feel sort of bad for the Astros. Any team playing Orlando Palmeiro, Jose Vizcaino and the corpse of John Franco deserves a little pity.
We now move on to hosting the Rockies for a three-game set, followed by a seven-game road trip: four at Toronto, three at Atlanta. The Braves series thankfully ends interleague play and we get back to business with the Yankees.
