This is a short-term fix for the Yankees and their rotation, and if they get healthy I'd presume Chacon will become part of their pen. They traded minor leaguers Ramon Ramirez and Eduardo Sierra to the Rockies.
Chacon, 27, served as Colorado's closer last season and was downright hideous, but has been decent back in the rotation this season, besides a terrible K-to-BB ratio that's just over one.
Not a big move, but something for them to keep them running.
