Casey Fossum, LH Rodrigo Lopez, RH (6-8, 3.89) (10-6, 4.74)
Game time is 7:05 on CSN.
Here's a classic matchup of records that don't mean anything. Lopez is worse than Fossum at everything except BB/9. Fossum has been one of the more surprising successes in the AL this year, but who notices? He's a Devil Ray.
Last time out against the O's, Fossum went six and a third, allowing just three hits (two were solo homers) and striking out six. He had dominant stuff and just left a couple pitches in bad spots.
Roddy's home numbers took a tumble from fantastic to pretty good after the July 31st White Sox Rampage. Because of that, his home numbers fell to 3.75/1.23 and a 4-3 record. Nevertheless, that's far better than his road numbers. Fossum (3.86/1.29, 2-4) is about identical on the road to Lopez at home.
Should be about as interesting as a game with the D-Rays at this point gets.
