John Maine starting tomorrow?

Buck Martinez said Maine is with the team in Baltimore. He'd need to be put onto the 25-man roster (I'd expect Rakers to lose his spot, just to annoy me). Yahoo has DuBose listed as the starter, but the CSN team seems to think it'll be Maine.

It'd be nice to see him get another shot while Ponson is out. He's not a top-tier prospect or anything, but he's still only 24 and has just one start to his credit as a major leaguer (3.2 IP, 4 ER, 7 H, 3 BB, 1 K).

Maine, you might recall, was a college pitcher (UNC Charlotte) that was dominant but overworked badly in his sophomore year (2001), then had a crap junior year and became a fifth round pick for the O's. I've always rooted for him, and I see him as a more worthwhile guy to look at than Eric DuBose, whose upside at this point might be catching on as a low-budget team's fifth starter, or trying to become a good middle reliever.
