Well, that was fast. I never thought he was the guy for the job, and though you can't blame him for the so-called talent assembled, you can blame him for the way he used it many times, which has already been said over at the Sun.
Mazzilli's a good guy. I have no doubt he'll find a job somewhere as a bench coach or something, but I think it'll be a while before he gets another chance as a manager. Best of luck to him.
In the meantime, Sam Perlozzo takes over. I said before that I don't like interim managers, and it's true, but this is a case where there was really no choice. Teams play like this and managers and coaches get fired. That's just how it is. Someone's gotta go, and you can't very well fire all the players.
