I thought just a handful of starts ago that Chen may have been losing his grip on a rotation spot. Since then, he's been by far the best pitcher on the team, and has grabbed a 2006 spot by the horns.
On the different path, Fossum had a nice start to this season but has gone in the tank a bit since August started, with his ERA rising from 3.83 on July 29 to 4.92 on August 31. He's back down to 4.73 after two strong starts.
