Well, let's see if we can not get swept. The O's can't finish over .500 now, and the only way to finish .500 on the nose would be to win out. "Wait 'til next year!" just doesn't have much enthusiasm when you're just wanting to win 82 games. Even the sorry Cubs manage that one sometimes.
As you may have seen in the diaries, Brian Roberts will need an estimated six months to recover. I think that's the safe bet, but I'd bet he'll get at least part of his spring training in.
We've seen Moose once this season, and he went five and two thirds with two earned. He was hittable (7 H) and didn't have his best control (3 BB). Mussina has been dreadful his last two starts.
Chen hasn't pitched a bad game since late July. If anyone can get us a W right now, it's probably him, but someone's going to have to hit.
