Ted Lilly, LH Daniel Cabrera, RH (8-9, 5.52) (8-11, 5.00)
Game time is 7:05 on CSN and RSN.
Danny's back in town, off the DL after stinking up the joint for a while there. After his July 19 start at Minnesota, Cabrera had his ERA down to 4.64. It was back up to 5.09 and then down to 5.00 before he took some time off for his back. The Orioles haven't won a game Cabrera started since July 14 at Seattle. You might remember that series, it was the last positive moment of Rafael Palmeiro's career.
Lilly's had a rough year and is also making his return from the DL, and I'd wager to say that inconsistency from guys like Lilly is the biggest reason the Jays aren't in the wild card race. To be totally fair, it was only June 4 that Lilly's ERA was 7.41, and he went on a pretty nice streak from there on out before hitting the DL with left biceps tendinitis. His last start against the O's was a killer, as he fanned 10 in seven innings and gave up just three hits (two earned runs).
