Gameday Thread: Angels at O's, 04/14

Ervin Santana, RH Rodrigo Lopez, RH (1-0, 1.59) (1-1, 6.39)

Game time is 7:05 on CSN and FSN West.

STATS writers are already talking about the Orioles trying to turn their season around with that Tampa Bay series, which, to me, seems a little early for such an idea. I mean it's ten games in. There's 152 of these left to go.

This is another four-game series, where we'll face Ervin Santana tonight, Colon tomorrow, Lackey on Sunday and The Weave on Monday. I'm not that high on the Angels, but it should be challenging. But hoping to split a series is loser talk, so why bother? Let's sweep.

Lopez has a great career line against the Angels, 5-1 with a 1.70 ERA in seven starts. He's been rather roughed up both outings this season, Opening Day against the Rays and then April 9 against the Red Sox.

Santana has made just one start this season, beating the Yankees. He went 5 2/3 innings, allowing one solo homer and two hits, walking three and striking out two.

Vlad Guerrero left yesterday's game in the fifth inning with a stomach flu, so we'll see if he's actually in the lineup tonight.
