Nice, exciting comeback win last night from the O's to kick off the homestand.

Verlander is a 23-year old from Manakin-Sabot, Virginia, and a graduate of Old Dominion. He was the No. 2 pick of the 2004 draft. He made two starts last season and won a spot in the Tigers' rotation this year, and he's been very effective thus far. All of his starts have been Quality Starts except for a thrashing at the hands of the White Sox on April 13. This is his first-ever start against the O's.

Rodrigo Lopez has yet to have a Quality Start this season. He hasn't had a win since Opening Day. He's giving up too many hits and too many homers. Batters are hitting .305 against him, and his WHIP is 1.62. Roddy just has not been able to get off the schneid. Hopefully he can tonight.
