Runelvys Hernandez, RH Erik Bedard, LH (1-2, 4.91) (4-2, 4.54)
Game time is 7:05 on CSN and my favorite of all networks, the Royals Television Network.
Time for excitement, gang, the ROYALS are in town! If we lose a series to the Royals, flatulence for all.
But bad news -- the Royals are red-hot! They just scored 24 runs and hit .372 in a three-game sweep of the Indians, and Doug Mientkiewicz thinks that the time is now.
Fortunately, Runelvys Hernandez sucks, though he had two nice starts before getting lit up by the White Sox on May 6.
Bedard was going to pitch yesterday but he didn't because the game got rained out. For his career against Kansas City, he's 1-1 with a 2.92 ERA in two starts.
I love games with the Royals, honestly. I kind of have a soft spot for the Royals because they're so bad. It's like last year when we played the Rockies and I was kind of psyched because, really, they suck too. How many times can you watch the good teams before you just want to see the Royals and Rockies? This rule does not apply to the Devil Rays. They are not a real team.
Also, my first and last little league teams were the Royals, so there's that.
