Johnson just turned 43. He threw seven shutout innings in his last outing, and he's a pretty great September pitcher for his career: 37-4 since 1993.
Benson hasn't won since August 18, and the time before that was June 28. So since his July 2 start, Benson is 1-5, and his ERA has risen from 4.21 to 4.66. His last two starts have been nice, though: 7 IP, 2 ER at Texas, and 8 IP, 2 ER at LAA.
