Mulder staying with STL, Mets stuff

Mulder will stay with the Cardinals at two years and $13 million.

The Mets and Scott Schoeneweis reached a preliminary agreement to a three-year deal. Pedro Martinez is expected to be back in action in July or August. And, in my favorite Mets story of the day, John Thomson left New York for Toronto because he's "not into" how Paul Lo Duca "acts" behind the plate, and he's happy to have Vernon Wells in his outfield instead of Cliff Floyd (although Floyd won't be back with the Mets).

There's yet another amazing story where Cal Ripken says that, yes, sure, he'd be interested in owning the Orioles if Angelos ever sells the team. How many times a year does this come up? Three? Four?
