SBN's Over the Monster, where some of y'all got into a spat during spring training. Memories...

Current AL East standings: Boston, Baltimore (1.5), Toronto (2.5), Tampa Bay (3.5), New York (4).

The O's and Red Sox both come into this 7-3 in their last 10 but having lost their last two games. We lost a couple of fouled up stinkers to Oakland, and Boston was smoked by the recently-swept Jays.

Nobody in the AL is jumping out to a big-time start, as Boston's 12-7 is the best mark in the league, and we're tied with Detroit, Minnesota and Oakland for fourth-best.

All of this largely meaningless banter is just a way for me to fill up space before I just say all that I really mean today: Let's kick some ass. No more rolling over for the Red Sox. I want to punch this team in the mouth and take first place.
