55-year old coach Dave Trembley will manage the O's for the time being, before they offer the job to Joe Girardi, a move I am four square against because I don't like Girardi at all. He's all old school, Yankee way bullshit, and I don't think his rule against facial hair had much to do with the Marlins' relative success in 2006.
But for now, it's Trembley. He's managed 20 years in the minors over his baseball career, so he's got managerial experience. I think I'd prefer giving Trembley a shot at righting the ship than throwing money at Joe Girardi's one-year reputation.
