I usually like to have more of a reason to post than this, but when I ran across this quote again, I couldn't help but legitimately laugh. I'm talking a serious belly laugh.
It really brought it all into focus: These guys thought they'd really done it this past offseason. They thought they'd righted the wrongs, cured the ills, and made a contender. They thought Aubrey Huff, Jay Payton, and some largely generic veteran relief pitchers were the missing pieces of last year's 70-92 team. They were genuinely optimistic.
"If you're in that clubhouse and you don't think this team is vastly different and vastly improved, you're crazy."
