Here's what MLB.com has posted:
SAN DIEGO -- The tests appear to be in, and the results appear to be dire. ESPN.com reported late Thursday night that Miguel Tejada has suffered a fractured left wrist, an injury that will likely end his consecutive games streak. Tejada, who has played in 1,152 consecutive games, could be out for two months or more.
Now, we all knew about the non-displaced fracture, but this is the first report I've seen that's given any kind of timeline, especially the "out for two months" figure. That REALLY blows a hole in the Trade Tejada Now! theory of reconstruction, huh?
Update [2007-6-22 18:52:4 by duck]: Tejada has officially been placed on the DL, according to The (Baltimore) Sun.
PHOENIX // The Orioles placed Miguel Tejada on the 15-day disabled list today with a non-displaced fracture in his left wrist, ending the shortstop's consecutive games streak at 1,152...
Also: The Orioles recalled outfielder Jon Knott from Triple-A Norfolk to take Tejada's place on the active roster. Knott hit .210 with 8 home runs and 20 RBI in 43 games for Norfolk. He played in two games for the Orioles in April while outfielder Corey Patterson was on bereavement leave, going 3-for-4 with a pinch-hit three-run home run.
The Orioles also activated catcher Ramon Hernandez from the 15-day DL and designated catcher Alberto Castillo for assignment.
