So we wind up another West Coast trip. Yippee. No offense, Westie, but I'll be glad when the O's get back to civilization, I mean, the East Coast.
As for today's match-up, if we don't win this one, well ... we'll lose. OK, I couldn't come up with a compelling conclusion, much like the Orioles' lineup. We should win, but I'm guessing since Guthrie is pitching against a kid with a +6.00 ERA, we'll see Gomez, Bako, Horseface Killah and Boom-Boom Bynum on crutches in the lineup today with Tejada activated as designated bunter and Melvin Mora complaining he doesn't get to do it and no one told him. It is Forfeit Sunday, in case you forgot.
And remember, these are the O's. This little gem from the Orioles website about today's pitching opponent:
Which means he will pitch a no-hitter on 80 pitches today, of course.
And happy birthday to me on Tuesday, since this will be it for me for a few days as I go off to my in-laws (dial-up only) for 3 days as my daughter attends an out-of-town softball camp. I know, "Shut up, Peter King, with all your kid crap!" Just explaining why you won't have me to kick around for the next few days.
Have at it, kids.
