It's an afternoon game today (3:55 pm) because of the telly. In case one of my colleagues hasn't checked in by then, here's your no-graphics, no-frills, I'm-cleaning-my-basement-so-no-time-for-internet thread.
It's Beckett vs. Olson. Beckett is 1-1 with a 4.05 ERA vs the O's this season, but he was stingy last time out, giving up 2 runs over eight innings. Beckett is very, very good this year.
Olson (1-1, 3.86) is someone we can look forward to watching a while, as Sportsline says he's up for the season, and Burres is moving to the 'pen. He got lit up in his ML debut, but beat Chicago about a month ago.
Miggy's hitting again. Jay Gibbons voluntarily got off the roster. Will hell freeze over today?
