The Chicago Tribune is speculating that Mark Teixeira may only have one more year in the ATL. The Trib is saying that Braves' officials, not exactly known for their free-spending ways, aren't optimistic they will be able to re-sign Tex after this year.
The O's and the Yanks are seen as the two top bidders. With a lot of big money contracts gone after this year, and with a rebuilding project hopefully fully underway by the end of 2008, would it make sense for the O's to make a run at Tex, knowing his price tag could well be $120M for 6 years?
