It's the battle of the rookies today as David Hernandez faces off against Rick Porcello. Porcello started the year strongly but has come back to earth, and David Hernandez has been gangbusters of late. His last start against the Red Sox was a challenge as he only lasted 4.1 innings giving up 2 runs on 2 HR while throwing 102 pitches.
The O's look for the split before heading to Toronto for the weekend, but they'll have to do it without Adam Jones. He's being given the day off so that he'll be rested and ready to sock it to the Canucks.
