Seattle (12-19) vs Baltimore (9-23); 7:05 p.m.

Your trusty CC mods have various plans tonight, so I'm copying and pasting straight from the awesome Game Notes produced for each series by MLB.

TONIGHT’S GAME: The Orioles and Mariners open a three-game set tonight in the opener of a eight-game homestand for the Birds…The Orioles are 7-7 in their last 14 games after starting the year 2-16…The Birds are coming off a 2-5 road trip to Minnesota (0-3 in New York and 2-2 in Minneapolis).

VS. SEATTLE: Seattle leads the season series 3-0…The Mariners won the season series 5-4 in 2009 as the clubs split six games in Seattle and the Mariners took two of three in Baltimore…The Orioles lead the all-time series 192-166, with the O’s going 104-70 in Baltimore and 88-96 in Seattle.

HERNANDEZ NOTES: David Hernandez has lost his last 10 decisions since he beat Oakland August 11, 2009…The club has lost 13 of the last 15 games started by Hernandez during that stretch…According to Elias, it is the longest current losing streak in the major leagues and the longest by an Oriole since Jay Tibbs lost 10 straight from July 14-October 1, 1988…In his six starts this year, the Orioles have scored a total of 20 runs, with just six of those coming while Hernandez was in the game…In his first two starts, the Birds did not score a single run in 11 innings in which he pitched…In his last three starts (14.0IP), Hernandez has allowed nearly as many walks (12) as hits (13)…Only six of the batters he walked ended up reaching 2nd base and just two have scored.
