ORIOLES 1970 WORLD SERIES CELEBRATION TO FEATURE
EXCLUSIVE LUNCHEON WITH ’70 TEAM MEMBERS ON JUNE 26
As part of their celebration of the 40th anniversary of the 1970 World Series championship team, the Orioles have announced that they will host an exclusive gala luncheon for fans with ’70 team members on Saturday, June 26. The event will include the opportunity for attendees to meet members of the 1970 team, participate in a question and answer session and pose for photos with the 1970 World Series trophy.
The luncheon will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on the sixth floor of the Warehouse at Camden Yards and is limited to 100 fans. Each guest will receive a baseball signed by all 1970 team members in attendance, as well as a photo with the attending players posing with the 1970 World Series trophy. A question and answer session with team members will follow the luncheon. As each guest will receive a team-signed ball, additional autographs will not be permitted.
Hall of Famers and 1970 team members JIM PALMER, BROOKS ROBINSON and FRANK ROBINSON, along with Hall of Fame manager EARL WEAVER, will attend the luncheon. Other 1970 team members expected to participate include FRED BEENE, PAUL BLAIR, DON BUFORD, ANDY ETCHEBARREN, BOBBY FLOYD, BOBBY GRICH, DICK HALL, BILL HUNTER, DAVEY JOHNSON, DAVE LEONHARD, TOM PHOEBUS, BOOG POWELL, MERV RETTENMUND, PETE RICHERT and EDDIE WATT.
The cost to attend the luncheon is $250 per person and includes parking in Lot B/C for the event. For an additional $50, attendees will receive a parking pass and ticket to the Orioles’ 4:05 p.m. game that afternoon against the Washington Nationals.
