In honor tonight's starting pitcher for the Yankees, I direct you to this awesome comment by BrianS from Opening Day 2009. Let's hope that tonight CC Sabathia pitches the way he did on that day.
Jeremy Guthrie will try to get back on track after a rough go of it last week against these Yankees. A lot of Yankees have had a lot of success against him, which isn't really surprising. But let's try not to think about that, ok?
Let's also try not to think about the bottom four in the Orioles lineup. I don't want any of you to get physically ill. Hopefully the top of the lineup will be able to do enough damage that we won't notice those guys.
It'll be tough, but this team is on a roll. Maybe on Wednesday Alex Rodriguez will be quoted as saying, "Everyone thought Baltimore would be three easy wins, and we got our [behinds] kicked three times."
The O's haven't lost since I started putting nicknames in the lineup in lieu of their actual names. I'm going to continue to do so until they lose, but it's pretty hard to do with Atkins and Lou in the lineup. Of course, with Lou and Atkins in the lineup they probably won't continue to win for long.
Let's Go O's!
