Mets (33-28) at Orioles (17-44), 7:05 PM EDT

The Mets have not won a series away from Citifield all year. They'll try to change that tonight, giving the ball to Hisanori Takahashi (4-2, 3.80 ERA), who is 0-1 with a 10.61 ERA in his past two starts. Takahashi has never faced the Birds before.

Brian Matusz gets the call for dem O's, hon, and although his numbers on the year aren't great (2-6, 5.10), he's had a lot of inherited runners score which make things look worse than they are. His WHIP is a rather pedestrian 1.54, but after getting pummeled in Oakland on May 26, his last two starts against the MFY and PHN have been a bit better (2.19 ERA, WHIP of 1.37). He's still walking too many guys, but he seems to be taking his lumps and slowly improving.

This is probably the O's best shot at preventing a sweep, since Mike Pelfrey takes the mound against Kevin Millwood tomorrow and The Mentor® has not been sharp as of late.

Go O's!
