Manager Dave Trembley removes Kevin Millwood during warm-ups of Wednesday's game, going with a fresher arm, because Kevin deserved not to lose the game. OK, not really, but not that far-fetched, either. (Photo by Greg Fiume/Getty Images)

There's a game this afternoon. Well, not sure if it will be a game, because that would imply a level of competition. And the Orioles aren't offering much in the way of competition right now.

And indulge me for a moment to bemon the fate of Kevin Millwood. He's started the same number of games as CC Sabathia. He's thrown 2.2 more innings, and while giving up just 11 more hits, he's allowed just two more runs, walked six fewer batters and struck out four more batters than CC. His WHIP is lower than CC's, his ERA is lower than CC's, and his K/9 and BB/9 rates are better. Yet, Kevin is 0-5 and CC is 4-3. Just more reminders on how absolutely useless the Orioles' offense has become.
