The Orioles will have a depleted bench tonight as they look to make it an improbable three wins in a row against the Texas Rangers. With the status of Matt Wieters and Felix Pie still unclear (and DL stints unlikely with the All-Star Break only two games away), it's going to be up to backups to carry the day. Fortunately, last night's replacements - Craig Tatum and Jake Fox - did OK.
Chris Tillman takes the mound for the O's after being summoned from Norfolk yet again. He's dominated AAA in his time there this season but has gotten knocked around in the big leagues. I'm sure facing this Texas team will be just the thing he needs to settle down his statistics. After having had to go to the bullpen early and often the past two games, the Birds could really use a deep outing from Tillman here.
Some guy named Lee is starting for the Rangers. I guess he just got traded or something and maybe he's pretty good?
Tillman. Lee. Who will own it? I think we all know the answer to that question.
