The Twins have had their troubles lately. On 11 June they were 36-25 and leading the AL Central by 4.5 games. Since then they have gone 14-20 which, combined with the White Sox 25-9 record over the same period, has left them tied with the Tigers for second place, 2.5 games back of Chicago.

Good news, Twins fans! Nothing cures the ills of a down on its luck borderline contender like a four game series in Baltimore post All-Star break.

The Mentor is back and ready for action. Maybe his cured forearm will result in him pitching a little like he did at the beginning of the season. Even if he did, it's too late now, seeing as how the trade deadline is just nine days away.
