Norfolk won 8-2 as three members of the Tides homered, Bowie won 6-5 as Felix Pie went 1-for-2 with a double and a walk and a strikeout, Frederick lost 7-2 as an early Frederick lead was foiled by two three-run Kinston home runs in consecutive innings, Delmarva lost 5-2 as the Hickory Crawdads scored four runs in the top of the fifth inning, Aberdeen lost 3-1, and Bluefield won 3-0 as Jarret Martin threw five scoreless innings.
