Norfolk swept Charlotte today. In Game 1, the Tides won 1-0 as Rick VandenHurk went 6 scoreless, striking out 13 (!), walking 1, and giving up 4 hits posting a GB/FB of 2/1. Ryan Adams and Jake Fox each went 1-3 with a K. Brandon Snyder went 0-3 with a K. Kyle Hudson went 1-1 with 2 walks and a CS.

In Game 2, Norfolk prevailed 6-2. Ryan Adams went 0-2 with 2 Ks, committed his 10th error and was removed from the game early. Jake Fox went 1-3 with a walk. Brandon Snyder went 2-4 with a double. Kyle Hudson went 1-1 with a walk and is now batting 320 on the season as a Tide.

Bowie was off today.

Frederick beat Wilmington 3-1. Jonathan Schoop went 0-4 with a K. Manny Machado went 1-4 with a homer and a K. Kipp Schutz went 0-3 with a walk and a K.

Delmarva beat Lakewood 2-1. Johnny Ruettiger went 0-2 in his SALLY debut, with a walk and a K. Ty Kelly went 1-4 with a CS. Michael Ohlman went 0-3 with a walk and 2 Ks. Tim Berry gave up 1 earned run in 5 innings, striking out 4, walking none and giving up 4 hits while posting a GB/FB of 6/4.

Aberdeen was off today.

The GCL Orioles beat the GCL Twins 7-1. Rod Bernadina went 2-5 with a K. Cam Coffey was pulled after 1 scoreless inning, so that's rather ominous.

The DSL Orioles beat the DSL White Sox 6-4. Byron Capellan went 2-4 with a K and his 14th error. Hector Veloz went 1-4 with a double and a walk.
