It's May 5th and the Baltimore Orioles have the second best record in baseball. They are eight games over .500 for the first time since July 2005. Let's talk about that for a second. Every time the Orioles reach a new high in games over .500 this season, you're going to hear from someone in the media about a date in 2005 when the Orioles were last there. I was chatting with EME last night after the game and told him that I'm happy they keep reminding me because it provides me with a reality check given the eventual outcome of the 2005 season. EME said that if they get to 15 games over .500, the reporters will be citing a date in 1997, not 2005. So if the Orioles get to 15 games over .500, that's when I'll let myself go crazy.
Pick 6! Congratulations to Jakattak88 for winning yesterday with 78.1 points! The Josh, kba26, odawg36, and organizedchaos52 round out yesterday's top five. For the entire season so far, Oriolesfan9229 is the top points getter with 219.8. Today's first game is at 1:05 pm so get those picks in!
