BREAKING: #Orioles, in need of a fresh arm following their 18-inning victory, have promoted their top pitching prospect, Dylan Bundy, 19.

Above is Ken Rosenthal's initial tweet breaking the news, and in a subsequent tweet he posted, "Orioles used seven relievers for a combined 12 2/3 scoreless innings Tuesday night. Bundy likely will fill a very limited role in relief."
Well, there you go. There has been speculation all year that the Orioles might call up Bundy, and just when it seemed like we definitely wouldn't see him, an 18-inning game on the west coast results in a call up of the young prospect.
Personally, I hope we don't see him for more than a few batters. He hasn't pitched in a game since the Baysox season ended, so who knows how he'll look. But all the same, it's exciting. I just hope he doesn't make his major-league debut tonight after I've gone to bed.
Update: The Orioles sent out a press release at noon, making it official.
