The New York Yankees have just lost their game to the Toronto Blue Jays, which means that the Orioles currently sit 1/2 game behind them for first place in the AL East. A win tonight against the Red Sox will put the Orioles in a tie for first place with four games remaining in the regular season.
But there are other games worth talking about, too. The Rangers are taking on the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, the Seattle Mariners will try to beat the Oakland Athletics, and Chicago White Sox take on Tampa Bay Rays, all at 4:05 eastern.
Mariners @ A's
Jason Vargas vs Dan Straily
The A's are currently one game behind the Orioles in the wild card race, so it would behoove the Orioles if they lost.
Angels @ Rangers
Ervin Santana vs Derek Holland
The Rangers are trying to lock up the top seed in the American League and the Angels are fighting for their lives. They are two games behind the A's and three games behind the Orioles in the WC race.
Rays @ White Sox
Matt Moore vs Chris Sale
The Rays lost last night, which makes their road to the playoffs even tougher (yay!). The White Sox are one game behind the Tigers for first in the Central.
