School of Roch: Showalter on Hardy, Lindstrom, Saunders and trades
"I would like to get J.J. Hardy out of the two hole. I would," Buck Showalter said. "I think it kind of takes away from his strengths, but it may not happen. We just didn't have anybody else who could bring what he brought. We'll see." The specter of the return of a healthy Brian Roberts complicates Buck's lineup construction until that specter vanishes, as we know it will.

IronBirds Will Host Orioles' Showalter, Johnson Thursday - Bel Air, MD Patch
"The Orioles winter caravan tour will visit Ripken Stadium on Thursday for a Hot Stove Dinner including manager Buck Showalter and closer Jim Johnson." So, there's that.

School of Roch: Orioles notes on infield coordinator and Mark Hendrickson
"Former Orioles left-hander Mark Hendrickson will throw at next week's mini-camp at Camden Yards leading up to FanFest. The camp runs from Wednesday through Friday and mostly includes pitchers on the 40-man roster, though Kevin Gausman and Mike Wright also are expected to attend." Because you can never have enough pitching. Ever.
