Wednesday Bird Droppings

So cold outside they freeze before they even hit the ground!

Jim Rogash

Was hoping to wake up to news of an exciting trade of some sort. Instread...sub-10 degree temps greet me. Fantastic. But, being a season plan holder, I do get to buy Opening Day tickets today at 10 am. So that's exciting! Who do you think starts Opening Day @ OPACY this year? Remember that the O's season starts on the road in Tampa. I'll say Hammel-Chen-Tillman start the three games in Tampa. My guess, then, is that Miguel Gonzalez will get the OPACY Opening Day nod. A well deserved honor for the young hurler after his late season, high pressure performances last year.

So...what've we got on the docket for the day? Have a gander at some links, why don'tcha!

Today is the birthday of Sherman Obando. On this day in 2010, the O's reached terms with Miguel Tejada. One year ago today, Wilson Betemit was signed.
