Camden Chat GIF Tournament, Part II: Tea Time vs. Nate's Great Slide

In today's matchup, the #1 seed proves why my seeding process needs to be revamped.

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

Back on July 29th, Aaron posted his usual GIFs of the Week post. We couldn't have known then that what we were seeing was the A.L. Central of GIFs of the Week. The winner of that week, a two-part GIF featuring Taylor Teagarden, won handily despite being rather weak overall. Indeed, the winning percentage was the highest of any winner in the second half, giving him the #1 seed in this tournament. But can anyone tell me why?

As you can see by the graphic on the GIF, the Orioles were winning a game against the Royals 9-2 in the 9th inning. As such, Taylor Teagarden had to run in from the bullpen to relieve Matt Wieters behind the plate for the bottom of the ninth inning. I remember this happening because Gary Thorne was laughing hysterically the entire time Teagarde delayed the game with his slow jog across the field. He wasn't the only one laughing, as part two of the GIF shows. In my opinion it's one of those you-had-to-be-there moments. But this tournament speaks for the people, and the people voted it a winner.

Up against this two-part masterpiece is a winner from the first round, Nate McLouth's great slide. It still makes me laugh.
