Saturday Bird Droppings

What else are you gonna do on a Saturday morning?

USA TODAY Sports

The World Baseball Classic has started with two games in the books and one game in progress. Chinese Taipei beat Australia 4-1, and while Brazil took a 3-2 lead into the 8th inning, Japan came back to score three runs in the 8th and won 5-3. Just getting started on the MLB Network is Korea @ Netherlands (though in real time it's in the 6th inning - don't check the WBC website if you don't want to be spoiled).

In other TV news, be sure to tune in to WMAR tonight at 11:00 or tomorrow morning at 10:30 for Inside Pressbox. Former Camden Chat contributor and future Mr. Stacey Long, Paul Folkemer, will be on with Stan the Fan to talk Orioles baseball.
