Happy Birthday wishes to Denny Hocking, hitting coach for the Bowie Baysox; as well as brief O (and one of my fav players when I was growing up) Pete Incaviglia. Old Timey O, and HOFer, Hughie Jennings was also born on this day. He made a career out of getting HBP, and lead the league for 5 consecutive years (1894-1898) amassing 202 of his career (and Major League record) 287 HBPs in that span. Impressive.
