Tonight on the farm, Norfolk and Frederick won big, while Bowie and Delmarva lost. Let's look at the performance of the prospects.

So, will Freddy Garcia be in Baltimore before or after the All Star Break?

Norfolk won 10-1 tonight. Freddy Garcia went 8 IP, yielding 1 ER on 4 hits, walking none and striking out 4 with a GB/FB of 11/4. Jonathan Schoop went 1-3 with 2 walks. LJ Hoes went 3-4 with a double and HBP. Russ Canzler went 0-5. Former Oriole prospect Josh Bell is now playing in the White Sox organization.

The Baysox lost 4-1. Xavier Avery went 1-4 with a double. Ty Kelly went 0-2 with 2 walks. Henry Urrieta went 0-3.

Frederick won 10-2. Tim Berry got the win, giving up 1 ER in 5 IP on 5 hits and a walk, striking out 6, with a GB/FB of 3/2. Unfortunately the box score did not include the number of pitches, so I'm not entirely sure why Berry only went 5. Glynn Davis went 2-4 with a double, a walk and a caught stealing. Brenden Webb went 1-2 with 3 walks and a K.

The Shorebirds lost 9-1. Parker Bridwell gave up 5 ER in 4 innings on 5 hits and 2 walks, striking out 6 with a GB/FB of 2/2. Juan Guzman gave up 3 ER in 1.2 IP on 3 hits, 4 walks, a HBP and a wild pitch, striking out 2, with a GB/FB of 2/0. Not a good night for these 2 pitchers with some potential. In the batters box, Christian Walker went 2-4 with a K. Adrian Marin went 1-4 with a SB. Torsten Boss went 0-5 with a K. Joel Hutter went 3-4 with 2 doubles. Rod Bernadina went 0-4.
