The affiliates won three out of five today, led by Henry Urrutia and Ty Kelly, with another strong performance by 2013 11th rounder Stephen Brault.

The Tides game was suspended in the top of the fourth, trailing 3-1. Jair Jurrjens gave up 2 ER in 3.1 IP on 6 hits and a walk, striking out 1 with a GB/FB of 6/2. Brian Roberts drew two walks in his two plate appearances. Brandon Wood went 1-1 with a double. LJ Hoes went 0-2. Xavier Avery DNP.

Bowie lost 7-4. Ty Kelly went 4-5 with a walk and a K. Henry Urrutia went 2-6 with 2 Ks. Nolan Reimold went 3-6 with a K.

The Keys won 6-2. 23 y/o lefty Trent Howard gave up 1 ER in 3 IP on 3 hits and a walk, striking out 3 with a GB/FB of 2/3. Jesse Beal gave up 1 ER in 2.1 IP on 5 hits (including a HR), striking out 1 with a GB/FB of 2/3. Nicky Delmonico DHed tonight and went 2-5 with a K. Christian Walker went 1-5 with a homer and 3 Ks. Michael Ohlman went 3-5 with a double.

The Shorebirds won 7-6. 22 y/o lefty Matt Taylor had a rough start, giving up 4 ER in 5.2 IP on 8 hits and 2 walks, striking out 5 with a GB/FB of 7/2, throwing in a wild pitch and a hit batter. Mychal Givens retired five of the six he faced, allowing 1 hit, striking out 1, and recording a GB/FB of 0/3. Adrian Marin DNP. Torsten Boss went 0-2 with 2 walks and a K. Joel Hutter went 1-4. Lucas Herbst went 1-4 with 2 Ks.

Allowing 1 hit, Aberdeen won 3-0. 2013 11th round lefty Stephen Brault had another nice start, going 5.2 IP allowing 1 hits and 4 walks, striking out 4 with a GB/FB of 7/3. Hector Veloz went 0-3 with 2 walks.

The GCL Birds lost 5-4. Zach Clark is evidence of how difficult it is to refine a knuckler, giving up 4 ER in 5 IP on 7 hits (1 HR) and a hit batsman, striking out 3 with a GB/FB of 8/3. Chance Sisco went 1-4 with a walk. Ronarsy Ledesma went 0-4 with a walk and 3 strikeouts. Andres Aguilar went 2-4.
