Around the Minors: 7/3/13

The affiliates go four for six on the night, getting strong performances from Tim Berry and just another homer from Michael Ohlman. Lex Rutledge pitched well for the Shorebirds. And other things went down.

Norfolk took Gwinnett to the woodshed, winning 13-0. Xavier Avery went 3-6 with a double and a triple. LJ Hoes went 2-3 with 2 walks. Henry Urrutia went 1-5.

Bowie lost 3-1. Tyler Wilson gave up 2 ER in 6 IP on 5 hits and a walk, striking out 4 with a GB/FB of 6/7.

Frederick won 2-1. Tim Berry gave up 1 ER in 8 IP on 3 hits (1 HR), striking out 7, walking 2 and posting a GB/FB of 10/5. Michael Ohlman's reign of terror continues, going 2-4 with a homer. Christian Walker went 0-4 with a K. Nicky Delmonico DNP.

Delmarva won 3-1. Lex Rutledge pitched 3 scoreless, allowing 3 hits, striking out 4, walking none, with a GB/FB of 3/0. Adrian Marin went 1-3 with a walk. Torsten Boss goes 2-3 with a double, two walks and a K.

Aberdeen won 9-2. Hector Veloz went 2-4 with walk.

The GCLers were suspended in the bottom of the sixth, in a 3-3 tie with the GCL PHN. Josh Hart went 0-3 with a walk and 2 strikeouts. Ronarsy Ledesma went 1-3 with a K. Chance Sisco went 0-3 with a K. Jonah Heim went 0-2 with a walk.

The original DSLers were off.

The other DSLers lost 7-3. 18 y/o Venezuelan Christian Alvarado gave up 3 ER in 5 IP on 3 hits and a walk, striking out 8 with a GB/FB of 2/3. Ademar Rifaela goes 1-4 with 2 Ks. Ivan Mora went 1-4 with a double and a K.
