Around the Minors: 7/8/13

So the affiliates go one for six on the night, with only the GCL Birds winning. LJ Hoes continues to reach base, the dynamic duo in Frederick continues to impress, and Francisco Jimenez is putting the DSL on notice. Or something like that.

Norfolk lost 8-4. Henry Urrutia went 1-5 with a triple and a K. LJ Hoes went 1-2 with 2 walks. Xavier Avery went 1-4 with a walk and a SB. Danny Valencia goes 2-4 with a double.

Bowie lost 3-2. Tyler Wilson went 3 scoreless giving up 2 hits and 2 walks, striking out 1 with a GB/FB of 0/2. I'm assuming he was pulled due to the rain delay.

Frederick lost 8-7 in 10. Christian Walker went 2-5 with a homer and a walk. Michael Ohlman went 2-6 with a homer. Nicky Delmonico continues to not play, though he is not on the DL.

The iBirds lost 2-1 in 12. Steven Brault continues to pitch well, giving up 1 hit in 3 scoreless, striking out 3 with a 5/0 GB/FB. Hector Veloz went 0-5 with 2 Ks. Mike Yastrzemski went 1-5 with 2 Ks.

The GCL Birds won 2-1. Josh Hart went 1-3 with 2 walks. Ronarsy Ledesma goes 1-4 with a double and a K. Chance Sisco DNP. Old friend Zach Clark had a better performance with the knuckler, giving up 1 ER in 6 IP on 2 hits and 2 walks striking out 3.
