Tickling The Funny Bone With Jason Pridie

A majority of the time when a professional athlete does an interview with a member of the media, it’s a question about their performance or an inquiry about their past at-bats. Camden Chat got the green light to fire away questions to Tides All-Star Jason Pridie that got his mind off baseball before the Thursday night contest against the Gwinnet Braves.

C.C.: Which Superhero would you like to be for a day?

Pridie: Superman. He has a little bit of everything. He can't really get hurt. He can fly and reverse time.

C.C.: If you had the choice between reading people's minds or flying, which would you choose? Going back to Superman, my guess is you would want to fly, right?

Pridie: Yes. I think if you could read people's minds you wouldn't like what you hear, but flying around would be fun.

C.C.: If a Genie granted you three wishes, what would you choose?

Pridie: I wish I could never worry about finances. I wish I would have a healthy family throughout my whole life. I would want to be able to go back in time and be able to see what happened in the ancient civilizations and how things came about.

C.C.: If you had a movie title to sum up your life what would it be?

Pridie: "Adversity" would be a good sum of everything between all life's struggles with family and baseball. That's one word, but it simply sums everything up.

C.C.: Facebook or Twitter?

Pridie: Twitter. My wife and I have a joint Facebook page, but I don't really look at it. I'm big into Twitter.

C.C.: If you could be an animal for one day, what would you be?

Pridie: If you could be anything, you would want to be an Apex predator such as a lion or tiger. Something along those lines.

C.C.: If you were going to go sing Karaoke what song would you sing?

Pridie: I had to sing Karaoke on the bus with the Mets as a rookie hazing and I sang "Ain't Nothing but a G Thing". I rocked that pretty good. I still have some people asking me about that so I'll go with that.

C.C.: Whose better Lebron James or Dwayne Wade?

Pridie: Lebron

C.C.: Which teammate would play Alan from "The Hangover"?

Pridie: Zelous Wheeler. He says all types of funny stuff. He's got that shape like Alan.

C.C.: If you were going on the show "Survivor", what one item would you take as your luxury item excluding your cell phone?

Pridie: I would take a book. Just to keep yourself sane. I'm a big Harry Potter fan. I would have to take the whole collection because we'll be out there awhile.

C.C.: Which teammate spends the most time on social media?

Pirdie: I'm one of the top guys on this team. There are a couple guys who do it, but I'll say me.
