Wei-Yin Chen starts for the Orioles tonight and is in the midst of another fine season. He falls apart quickly, which is the one thing I can say bad about him. Other than that I have no complaints. Still, let's see a complete game tonight, huh Chen?
Tonight's starter for the Colorado Rockies, Juan Nicasio, has made 22 starts for the Rockies this season and while his game logs show a fair number of starts where he's allowed three or less runs, he has only pitched six or more innings seven times. He's never pitched more than seven innings. So he's a guy you can knock out of the game early. He doesn't strike out many (6.53/nine innings) and he walks guys but not outrageously so. He has a horrible LOB% at just 65.2. That's some Jake Arrieta action right there.
The Rockies are, as you'd expect, a different team on the road than at home. On the road they are hitting as a team .246/.300/.379 as opposed to .282/.340/.450 at home. Their pitching, though is actually a little worse on the road (though not dramatically). So I guess it's good they're coming to Baltimore!
Let's go O's! Here are your lineups:
