Rotation | ||
Wei-Yin Chen | Just can't seem to make it through the seventh with any regularity.
Scott Feldman | Pretty rough start to his O's career, but he's allowed just 4 earned runs (2.25 ERA) in his last 12 innings.
Miguel Gonzalez | Had his quality start ruined by a blown save and an extra innings loss. Steady as she goes after a couple of bad starts.
Bud Norris | Neither his start nor his relief appearance were very fulfilling. Also suffering from some lower back soreness, but remains on track to make his next start.
Chris Tillman | Solid 6 inning start (lack of strikeouts noted), but foiled in his attempt to pick up a 15th win twice in a row.
Bullpen | ||
Tommy Hunter | Rocked early on in the week, but had three excellent appearances since then, including a 3 inning relief stint.
Jim Johnson | Fill in your own negative comment here.
Brian Matusz | Not a very solid week for the bullpen.
T.J. McFarland | Gives up a run and takes a loss during his first appearance in ten days.
Darren O'Day | You know your pen isn't faring well when even O'Day gets rattled.
Troy Patton | Yet another reliever to to falter at some point over the week.
Francisco Rodriguez | Strained his hamstring and is hoping to avoid the disabled list.
Josh Stinson | Oddly enough, he was the only O's reliever to escape the week unscathed. Naturally, he was sent back to the minors.
Catchers | ||
Taylor Teagarden | Surprisingly good in two appearances this week. Nearly doubled his hit output for the season in just one week.
Matt Wieters | Crummy week that included just two hits, although both were homers.
Infielders | ||
Alexi Casilla | 2-4 in one game (not including a pinch running appearance)
Chris Davis | Back to crushing and walking. Three homers, 5 walks over a .409 week.
Ryan Flaherty | Picked up a couple of starts at SS and was solid, if unspectacular.
J.J. Hardy | Back problems forced him out of the lineup, but he's expected to return early this week.
Manny Machado | Solid .300 week, although just 2 extra-base hits.
Brian Roberts | His range in the field has clearly declined, but he went a solid 10-20 at the dish with 6 RBI and 5 walks. Hard to ask for more out of a guy who hasn't played much in quite some time.
Outfielders | ||
Adam Jones | Actually had a bit of a down week compared to his previous few.
Nick Markakis | It has been a month since last had an extra-base hit.
Nate McLouth | .091 at the plate this week.
Steve Pearce | Also .091 at the plate this week.
Henry Urrutia | Struggling, so he was returned to the minors. |
