The sense of doom has set in. The Orioles are one loss from a sweep by the Red Sox and have fallen nearly out of both the race for the division and the wild card. The A's keep winning, the Rays keep winning, the O's keep treading water.

So, are you pumped for tonight's game?

Jon Lester is pitching for the Red Sox against Chris Tillman. It's no secret that Lester has owned the Orioles over his career. He's 15-2 against them in his career and his first loss didn't even come until September 21, 2012. The second loss was this season. Lester has been solid this year but still isn't the pitcher he was a few years ago. But between his record against the Orioles, the fact that he he throws with his left hand, and the general uselessness of the Orioles this series, it doesn't bode well.

Chris Tillman last pitched against the A's in the lone O's loss during that series. Nothing about that loss could be pinned on him, though, as it was probably the best start of his career so far. He pitched eight innings and gave up just one run on three hits. He struck out nine and walked two. He was fantastic. He'll probably need to be that good again if the Orioles want to win this game.
