Today is the birthday of the great Frank Robinson. Joining him as birthday buddies are former Orioles Tim Raines, Jr. Armando Gabino, Mike Hartley, and Tom Dukes. It's also the birthday of current O's farmhand and possible September call up, Steve Johnson.

On this day in 2007 the Orioles traded Steve "The Trashman" Traschel to the Cubs for Scott Moore and Rocky Cherry. Neither player panned out for the Orioles but Rocky Cherry remains a top ten in the cool Orioles names category.
