Will the Orioles kick off their winning streak today? Are things about to turn around? I say yes!
Tonight's game features Chris Tillman pitching for the Orioles vs Ubaldo Jimenez for the Indians. Jimenez has been an up and down pitcher this year, but he's coming off of two straight games in which he struck out ten batters. That's not bad. One definite good thing about him is that he throws with his right hand. Here is what Ryan from Let's Go Tribe had to say about Jimenez:
Ubaldo Jimenez has transitioned from a thrower to a pitcher, and seems to have become a nice 5-6 inning pitcher. He'll throw a lot of pitches per inning, but he usually only gives up a couple of runs. The key for him (even more than other pitchers) is spotting his fastball in the first couple of innings. If he can do that, his myriad offspeed pitches can work the second/third time through the order.Jimenez faced the Orioles back on June 24th and gave up two runs in 5 1/3 innings. Yup, that pretty much jives with what Ryan said above.
Let's go O's!
