An old friend is starting tonight for the Orioles. Just called up from the minors, Zach Britton will try to help the Orioles win the rubber match tonight against the Indians. Britton had a few decent starts for the Orioles this season, though few would argue that he was good. After being demoted to AAA Norfolk in July, Britton made eight starts for the Tides with an ERA of 5.56. The ERA is mostly slanted by three bad starts when he was first sent down, but he struggled with walking batters the entire time he was down other than his final start in which he struck out eight and walked zero.
I have no idea what to expect from Britton tonight, but it wouldn't surprise me that if he got lit up. I had hoped to look up the Indians splits and see that they stink against lefties, but they don't. In fact, they actually hit them a bit better than they do righties.
So, did I adequately pump you up?
