If you'd told me on Thursday afternoon that, on Sunday, one team would be going for a sweep in the series, I would have been sad to know that the Orioles ended up in an 0-2 hole. About that...
Now it's the Orioles trying to finish off the Tigers on the road. Home teams other than the Orioles haven't been doing very well this postseason. Here's hoping that trend continues. Bud Norris, it's up to you. Hours before first pitch, it was 55 degrees in Detroit. That sounds good for Norris, a fly ball pitcher, but probably not so good for the O's hitters.
There's no predicting this series. So far it's gone according to script for the Tigers except for all of the bullpen stuff. Cabrera and the Martinezes have done damage. They'll probably do more damage today.
Whatever happens today, only one team can be eliminated, and it's not the Orioles. That feels pretty good. Maybe they'll even find a way to get the improbable sweep.
